Students were admitted to the Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering undergraduate program in the 2020-2021 academic year.

They attended their first lectures online in the 2020-2021 Academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

EDUCATION

Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering undergraduate program has started accepting students in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Program Outcomes

Our program has been carefully and comprehensively designed for the purpose of accommodating our students with the skills they will need in their future academic or corporate careers. By means of the ecosystem it provides in parallel with the undergraduate program, ITU provides the opportunity for application of the program outcomes in academic career and business world.

Designing and managing scalable data management systems

Ensuring data reliability in designed systems

Analyzing information with mathematical and logical thinking from a critical point of view

Applying mathematical, computational and artificial intelligence techniques to specific problem areas

Reformulating and solving problems by thinking abstractly

Demonstrating proficiency in conceptual understanding and implementation in the field of computer programming, including software development and data structures

Solving real life problems involving large and complex data sets using mathematical, computational and artificial intelligence techniques

Expressing, visualizing, presenting and conveying analytical and mathematical results both individually and in groups

Program Curriculum

There are courses on basic sciences (physics, chemistry, biology), mathematics, data science and artificial intelligence theory and other courses on computer science (formal methods, automata, etc.) in the curriculum of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering department. In addition to the compulsory courses, technical elective courses for artificial intelligence and data engineering are included in the curriculum. Some of these courses cover courses in which the applied practice of artificial intelligence and data engineering is presented.
